Shirak State University and “Agate” signed a Memorandum to promote rights of women and girls with disabilities

Shirak State University and NGO “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities signed the Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strength the capacities of students in journalism on the rights of women and girls with disabilities to work with women and girls with disabilities. The memorandum is signed within the framework of “I can break stereotypes in my community” project.

The MoU was signed by Gayane Grigoryan, Project officer of the “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities NGO and Yervand Serobyan, Rector of Shirak State University.

Gayane Grigoryan presented details related to the collaboration with the University. Yervand Serobyan highly appreciated the importance of the project goal, reaffirming the willingness of the University to collaborate within the framework of the project.

 

The project “I can break stereotypes in my community” is implemented in the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence” regional programme, funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
