The “STRIVE for a better future: communities and civil society resilience in Armenia” project aims to improve the resilience, sustainability, accountability, and capacity for innovation of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs).
Target group of this project are CSOs, civic initiative groups, and media organisations Value-driven citizens engaged in community life Education providers Other key development actors․
The project’s partner organizations are NEF Belgium, “BLEJAN ecological, social, business support” NGO, “Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan” NGO, and “WINNET Goris” Development Foundation.
The project will provide over €700,000 in sub-grants to at least 110 CSOs, civic groups, and media organisations to implement grassroots-led civic initiatives; facilitate emergency response to address the needs of severely vulnerable populations; benefit from organisational model innovation (to improve CSOs operations and services in support of marginalised populations); foster networks and partnership through joint actions; and deliver media literacy actions.
Outcomes
CSOs increase their organisational capacity for internal democratic governance, accountability and transparency, sustainability, and constituency linkages.
Structured mechanisms for volunteering are expanded, enabling CSOs to tap into a citizenry dedicated to delivering quality services to the most vulnerable, based on shared values
Enhanced synergies and cooperation among CSOs and other relevant stakeholders, including media.
