The goal of the project is to empower people with disabilities to live independently, protect their rights, and participate fully in the development of their communities.
The mission of the project is to empower people with disabilities in Armenia to live independently, advocate for their rights, and participate fully in their communities, and is implemented by three leading disability organizations: Mobility International USA (MIUSA), “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities NGO and “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities” NGO (EREO).

Results:
- Independent living resource center (ILRCs) was opened in Gyumri in 2020 to provide consumer-led services. ILRC consumers will include women, men and youth with diverse disabilities, who will have access to peer support, empowerment activities, skills training, and information and referral to rights based services, focused on access to employment, women’s health, and assistive technologies and devices that facilitate access and independence.
- Annually the new ILRC offers peer-led, rights-based services and resources to at least 100 persons with different types of disabilities and 100 service providers in Shirak region.
