Goal/Long-term Impact:
The project aims to create an inclusive society where women with disabilities enjoy full participation, equal opportunities, and protection from gender-based violence.
Key Objectives:
- Strengthen Agate’s capacity as a women’s rights organization.
- Prevent and address SGBV against women with disabilities.
- Promote SRHR for women and girls with disabilities.
Target Groups:
- Women and girls with disabilities (300 directly reached)
- Families of women with disabilities
- Healthcare professionals (20 trained)
- Service providers (50 trained)
- Policymakers and stakeholders
- Men and boys (30 reached)
- Individuals with other gender identities (10 reached)
Key Activities:
- Workshops on SRHR and SGBV for women with disabilities.
- Empowerment and leadership training for women with intellectual disabilities.
- Capacity-building for healthcare providers and service providers.
- Advocacy for disability-inclusive SRHR and SGBV policies.
- Public awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and promote rights.
Expected Outcomes:
- Increased awareness of SRHR and SGBV rights among women with disabilities.
- Improved capacity of service providers to deliver inclusive services.
- Enhanced advocacy for disability-inclusive policies at national and local levels.
