“Agate” NGO President participated in the OSCE Human Dimension Conference 2025

On October 13–14, Agate’s President, Karine Grigoryan, participated in the OSCE Human Dimension Conference 2025 in Warsaw, taking part as a speaker at the side event: “Invisible Voices: Disability Rights through the Lens of Women, Peace, and Security,” convened by The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation
In her speech, Karine highlighted the systemic invisibility of women with disabilities in peacebuilding and humanitarian efforts — emphasizing how conflict and displacement affect them disproportionately. She shared the voices of displaced women with disabilities from Nagorno-Karabakh, calling for inclusive humanitarian and recovery programs where women with disabilities are consulted, identified, and included from the start.
“Peace is not real if it excludes those who suffered the most. And as long as displaced women with disabilities remain unseen, peace will remain incomplete.” — Karine Grigoryan
During the conference, Karine also held productive meetings with, and Lara Scarpitta, OSCE Senior Adviser on Gender Issues and Elmaja Bavčić, OSCE Gender Advisor, discussing ways to strengthen disability inclusion within the Women, Peace, and Security agenda and OSCE’s broader work on gender equality.
We are proud to see Agate’s voice represented at this important international platform, advocating for a truly inclusive Women, Peace, and Security agenda — one that leaves no woman behind.
