Duration: 01.07-01.12.2023
Project goal
to promote the employment of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within three countries of the EU Eastern Partnership.
The project is co-funded by the German Ministry for Foreign Affairs and is initiated and coordinated by the INTAMT-Academy (Germany). Our fellow partners include “Agate” NGO (Armenia), “Confederation of Employers of Ukraine” (Ukraine), and Anika (Georgia).
The primary objective is to foster a positive shift in SMEs’ attitudes and business environments, leading to more frequent hiring of people with disabilities in the long run. The project’s target audience encompasses SMEs in the partner countries, as well as stakeholders such as policymakers and NGOs involved in the labor integration of PWDs.
As part of the project, we select exemplary practices from each country and film the best cases, sharing their experiences with others. These companies serve as beacons for other employers in the market, paving the way for a more inclusive labor market.
Throughout the project, we enhance the current i-SME Action Guidelines to align them with the specific needs and requirements of partner countries, enriching them with valuable recommendations and practical tips for employers.
Additionally, we will organize stakeholder workshops, involving companies, employers’ associations, trade unions, government agencies, and other relevant actors, fostering the dissemination of project results and facilitating further information exchange.
