“Tsayg” Regional TV Company and NGO “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities signed the Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strength the capacities and skills of media on on how to work and communicate with women and girls with disabilities. The memorandum is signed within the framework of “I can break stereotypes in my community” project.
The MoU was signed by Gayane Grigoryan, Project officer of the “Agate” Rights Defense Center for Women with Disabilities and Margarita Minasyan, TV Company director of “Tsayg” TV.
“As a regional TV company, we produce and present content for a diverse groups of society, including vulnerable groups. It is important for us to straight the knowledge and skills of our journalists about communication about the women and girls with disabilities”, says Margarita Minasyan.
“Within the framework of the project, among other activities, we plan to train media representatives to develop their capacities and skills in communicating and working with women and girls with disabilities, as well as to produce and distribute TV shows with the participation of women and girls with different types of disabilities”, stated Gayane Grigoryan.
The project “I can break stereotypes in my community” is implemented in the framework of the “EU 4 Gender Equality: Together against gender stereotypes and gender-based violence” regional programme, funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by UN Women and UNFPA.
